    Warning to New Commercial Tenants!

    Publicity prior to and at the time of opening your new business is extremely damaging to you and your business. It attracts a huge response from predatory sales people who’s only aim is to make lots of money from you.

    Please take this notice seriously.

    If you have shared your new business address on companies house or social media, you will start to receive calls from withheld numbers and numbers that you cannot call back. You will be told anything from your meter is going to be cut off, It’s the council and need your direct debit details, callers will even pretend to be your current supplier. This is all lies in order to scare and force you into a heavily inflated contract.  

    Unfortunately regardless of what has been said in order to get you to agree to the contract over the phone the supplier will hold you to the contract and there is no way off getting out of it.

    Do not believe anything you are told by these callers, the commercial energy market is not regulated in the same way as domestic energy. This unscrupulous practice is the norm and increasing day by day to increase their revenue by taking advantage of you.

    Commercial energy suppliers are regulated and have a code of conduct to follow and do not have outbound energy sales teams. However cold calling energy brokers are not regulated, and some suppliers choose to deal with dishonest brokers as a way to increase profit margins and customer base, all at your expense.

    Please make all management aware to not agree or share any information to the brokers as the difference to your energy bill is £1000s per year.
